DnC vice chairs blake and meng on election law reform

dnc vice chairs michael blake and grace meng released the following statement on the historic election law reforms passed by the new york state legislature this week:

“We commend the historic package of election reforms passed by the Democratically-controlled state legislature in New York. These reforms, including the creation of a 10-day early vote period, pre-registration for young voters, and the consolidation of New York’s state and federal primary elections, will make it easier for New Yorkers to turn out to vote. As Democrats, we believe that making your voice heard by casting your ballot in elections is a fundamental right. We’re committed to expanding opportunities for Americans to turn out to vote, and these latest reforms in our home state represent a monumental step forward for the people of New York.”
